A Witness

For we did not follow cleverly contrived myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; instead, we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. - 2 Peter 1:16

Why is it that almost all UFO sightings are by a guy named Bubba with a six-pack of Budweiser in bass boat? Please understand that I am not calling Bubba a liar (I know too many "Bubbas" to do that). In fact, I am fairly certain that Bubba saw "something." Yet, Bubba himself would have to admit that such stories are a tad incredible. Oh, and the fact that there is usually only one eye witness doesn't help either.

Have you ever stopped to consider that when Peter met Jesus he was basically just another "Bubba in a bass boat?" Yet, Peter was an eye-witness to the life of Christ, along with many others who like him gave an accurate account of all they had seen and heard. Peter and his friends may have been just some country fishermen, but I (for one) am very glad that they chose to speak of their Savior.

So, here's to Truth and here's to Bubba!
