Therefore, we do not give up; even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day. - 2 Corinthians 4:16
Today, as American Christians, we have very little sense of what it means to suffer for Christ's sake. We complain if the worship services are too early, too late, too warm, too cold, too long, too contemporary, or too traditional. The list goes on and on. Suffering for Christ is a foreign concept for most in our nation.
The Apostle Paul and his contemporaries endured numerous afflictions and though he mentioned them, he never whined about his circumstances. In fact, he rejoiced because these afflictions produced a more Christlike spirit. With every pound of flesh removed by trial, Paul added spiritual weight to his life.

The best way out is always through. - Robert Frost
