And we heard this voice when it came from heaven while we were with Him on the holy mountain. - 2 Peter 1:18

What does God know? Everything. If our God is truly sovereign, then what does that entail? He is over all, before all, and He will be here after all.
It was a sovereign, omniscient God the Father who spoke from His throne when Jesus (God the Son), Moses, and Elijah stood on a Judean mountaintop before the interested gaze of Peter, James, and John. Prior to the last supper, before the betrayal, before the scourging, the crucifixion, the burial, the resurrection, and the ascension, God held a heavenly summit. Did He know what was coming? Of course, He did. God is omniscient and He knew even then that one day God the Holy Spirit would prompt Peter to write about the experience, and that He would also prompt His followers to read it.
There is no question that a sovereign God is still speaking, but are we listening?
The world is waiting to hear an authentic voice, a voice from God- not an echo of what others are doing and saying, but an authentic voice. - Aiden Wilson Tozer
