Those who truly believe in Christ will persevere unto the end, the end of this world or the end of their own lives.
While there are many who might claim Christ from the softness of a warm bed, they would deny Him in the furnace of a martyr's prison. On the other hand, there are those who might wrestle daily with the struggles of the flesh, but still boldly proclaim the glory of Christ in the face of an executioner's sword.
How can a person know what they might do? Who they are? The strength of their faith and trust in Christ? We simply cannot know what we might do in the face of persecution. That is, until we actually face it, but each one of us can personally answer this one question, "Am I moving forward in faith and obedience to Christ today?"
