In this way they will put My name on the Israelites, and I will bless them. - Numbers 6:27
God gave Israel many instructions before they left Mt. Sinai. Some of that divine direction included rules that outlined the conditions for His blessing. In that context, God spoke to Israel about how to protect His name, His mercy, and His peace. In other words, God's blessing was (and is) His to give (or take away) and His blessing should inevitably lead to His greater glory.
In addition to rules about the blessing, God also spoke about who could give it or pronounce it. The job of pronouncing God's blessing on His people fell to the priests, and in particular, His high priest.
With all of this in mind, remember that God never changes and that the greatest condition of His blessing is obedience to His Great High Priest, His Son, Jesus Christ; therefore, if God has blessed you, then your life should most often glorify the Savior.
Grace is but glory begun, and glory is but grace perfected. - Jonathan Edwards
