Change Agent

You see and hear that not only in Ephesus, but in almost all of Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away a considerable number of people, saying that gods made by hands are not gods at all. - Acts 19:26

When Paul came to Ephesus preaching the gospel, he almost single-handedly shut down a major industry. He never publicly protested against it, nor did he pass around a petition. The industry was idol-production and when the Ephesians began to come to the true God (in Christ Jesus), they simply quit buying false ones. Personal regeneration resulted in social transformation.

While sin may be regulated by statute, morality can never be successfully legislated. The only answer to a sinful idolatrous nation is the powerful life-changing presence of Jesus Christ and the conversion of lost souls.

Surely we must speak up, but let us also lovingly speak of our Christ. He is the true Change Agent.
