And YHWH God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” – Genesis 2:16-17
Decisions, decisions, decisions, how does a person make the right ones?
Sometimes it is easy to make the best decision or choice given the available alternatives. For example, Adam shouldn't have had any trouble with the one which he faced, "Avoid the fruit and live or eat it and die." Pretty simple, huh? You would think so, anyway.
Of course, not all choices are this clear, which is why we need God's wisdom and confidence to trust Him in all things. How might we gain such wisdom and trust? Each of us must utilize all the spiritual resources available to us beginning with the Word of God, the Family of God, and conversation with God (prayer). We can then practice applying these resources to our circumstances.
Will we still make bad decisions and mistakes? Of course we will, but God will lead us and teach us through each difficulty for our greater good and His ultimate glory.
Making good decisions is a crucial skill at every level. – Peter Drucker
