Eternally Secure

But if you do not obey Me and observe all these commands.... - Leviticus 26:14

God made a covenant with the Israelites and His covenant came with certain conditions. Israel had to listen to and obey God and His laws, His commandments, and His rules. If they broke His laws, commandments, and rules, then God was not bound to keep His covenant with them and the results would be devastating (Lev. 26:15-39).

Yet, in spite of their disobedience, there was something God would never do. God would never leave them or forget them. With repentance, there would always be forgiveness and restoration (Lev. 26:40-42).

Because of His love, God will always keep His covenant, which is exactly why we who know Christ are secure in Him.

God never made a promise that was too good to be true. - Dwight L. Moody
