Every Significant Part

But even more, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are necessary. - 1 Corinthians 12:22

I have some arthritis in my right foot. Well, actually, it is in the toes. To be even more specific, it seems to be between the middle and fourth toes of my right foot. It used to be so painful that at times that I was awakened by it in the middle of the night and had to take a couple of ibuprofen to try and ease it.

Now, aren't you glad you possess such knowledge?

Some might say that such a small thing is insignificant, but I know better. It definitely matters. In fact, for the health of my entire body I am forced to pay attention to the need such pain presents. It affects my sleep patterns, exercise, etc.

Likewise, within the Body of Christ, there are no insignificant parts. Every member matters, not just those that seem to make a significant contribution. Our disregard for the weaker parts often become an exploitable weakness that our enemy uses to tear down the body itself.

Pay attention to every part, every person. They may appear to be weaker, but they are nonetheless necessary.
