Based on the gift they have received, everyone should use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God. - 1 Peter 4:10
Every child of God, every redeemed person is gifted. For this reason, Peter began the sentence above with an assumption, not a conditional statement. There is no "if." The question, therefore, is not, "Are you equipped?" Rather, it is "Will you use what God has given you?"
Yet, another probing implication is offered by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. For God not only wants to know if you will use the gifts He has supplied. As His gifted servant, He also wants to know if you will use them well. You see, even though the perceived "quality" of a gift or its "grandeur" may vary (all gifts are great, for all are from God), the expectation is still the same. We are to use them, and use them all for His glory.
Child of God, you are gifted. Will you use it well for the glory of God?
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him (Matt. 7:11)! - Jesus, the Messiah
