Then He went a little farther, fell to the ground, and began to pray that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. - Mark 14:35
If a person is given two choices, rarely will they choose the path that is most difficult, right? Everyone knows this. It is common sense. Of course, sometimes we are not given a choice. We must take the hard path because it is the only one available.
Jesus had a choice, but because He was the obedient Son of His Father, He willingly chose the hardest path possible in order to make the impossible (forgiveness of sin) possible.
Maybe you are facing a difficult decision, I've had a few in my life. Maybe it seems like every path available is extremely difficult and more than you can endure. We need to remain obedient to the Lord, but it is okay to ask Him that if it is possible, the "hour might pass."
If not, remember this. God loves you and He will give you the strength to choose the path of His choosing.
All the world is full of suffering. It is also full of overcoming. - Helen Keller
