So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. - Galatians 6:9
In order to reap a harvest, you must first sow one, but even before the sowing can be done you usually have to dig.
As I type, I am keenly aware of some faithful Christ-followers in some hard places doing some tough "digging." Most of them serve in fields where a long line of previous "diggers" spent their lives cultivating in hopes of a future harvest. Rock, root, and just plain old hardpan have often been before them, but they never stopped believing that if they didn't wear out before the ground gave in, the victory might eventually be won. Often even the "tools" they were using broke or became ineffective, but they just picked up something new and kept ... on ... digging.
Dig, sow, reap - we are called to one and all and, of course, to never give up.
Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible. - Corrie Ten Boom
