If Jesus comes into a person's life, things will change. In order for someone to have all of Him, He must have all of them. In the face of Jesus' true presence, the parts of a person's life that are not necessary must be abandoned. Activities that are not useful to His Kingdom must cease. Even those who are connected by relationships or geography will feel the aftershocks of change that a life with Christ creates.
With Jesus there is eternal gain, but there is temporal loss. Some will accept this and follow, but others will beg Him to leave.
