These are the family records of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among his contemporaries; Noah walked with God. - Genesis 6:9-10
Will you be the ONE?
Among all his contemporaries, Noah stood, blameless. He was righteous and walked with God when no one else cared to do so. Can you imagine the difficulty this presented? It appears that even Noah's own wife and sons did not choose to follow God. He stood alone.
I have a good friend and colleague in Africa who is one of the few followers of Christ among the six million other members of his people group. While you may not be as ostracized as he has been at times, a biblical stance on certain issues may also find you isolated, even among those who claim a similar faith. You may be the one person who stands for Christ when all others appear to fall away.
Just remember Noah. He remained faithful for over 100 years while undoubtedly ridiculed and intimidated for his beliefs. Perhaps you are alone, but God is using you to bear His Word and presence. Never give up! Never stop believing! God often works through the ONE!
Sometimes obedience means willingness to do the apparently useless thing, in order that God may do the great thing. – Elisabeth Elliott
