So Joshua said to the Israelites, "How long will you delay going out to take possession of the land that YHWH, the God of your fathers, gave you?" - Joshua 18:3
Some time after their victory at Jericho much of the Promised Land was under the control of the Israelites, but seven tribes had not yet taken possession of their share of the inheritance. When Joshua realized this, he asked the question quoted above.
In other words, he was asking, "What's your problem?"
Every follower of Jesus Christ has been given an inheritance: eternal life, abundant life, and the ability to glorify God. How long will some of us wait to take possession of this life that the Lord has already given us to embrace? What's our problem?
Is it possible that many people do not know the abundant life in Christ because they simply refuse to live it?
Horace said, "Seize the day." I say, "First, be seized by the Savior."
