By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires. - 2 Peter 1:4

By His Word, God created all things: land, sea, sky, stars, sun, moon, planets, animals, plants. Everything. Why then should we marvel at anything else He might accomplish through His Word?
The Word (the Son) became flesh to accomplish salvation for all who believe. If the Word can do that, then of course He can keep those He has purchased unto the day of His return. By His Word, God will do all that He has promised. Why would we ever doubt it?
Unless, perhaps, we have never truly believed it.
Christ never failed to distinguish between doubt and unbelief. Doubt is "can't" believe. Unbelief is "won't" believe. Doubt is honesty. Unbelief is obstinacy. Doubt is looking for light. Unbelief is content with darkness. - Henry Drummond
