The moment they began [their] shouts and praises, Yahweh set an ambush against the Ammonites, Moabites, and [the inhabitants of] Mount Seir who came [to fight] against Judah, and they were defeated. - 2 Chronicles 20:22

If a person would like to see the power of praise, he need only look to Joram. In this story, the worship and praise of God by His people sowed confusion and disorder among God's enemies and the enemies of Judah. Of course, there are other examples in Scripture, but the principle we discover here is this. True worship and praise will always confound the enemies of God!
What/Who are God's enemies?
Three that quickly come to mind are fear, doubt, and discouragement. When God's people worship Him in spirit and in truth, fear is replaced by courage, doubt is replaced by assurance, and discouragement is replaced by a steadfast hope.
Worship God and win!
To worship is to quicken the conscience by the holiness of God, to feed the mind with the truth of God, to purge the imagination by the beauty of God, to open the heart to the love of God, to devote the will to the purpose of God. - William Temple
